Highly detailed model of the APT-E experimental Advanced Passenger Train test train from the early 1970s.
This 4-car test train was powered by gas turbines and incorporated a number of features being developed for the proposed next generation of British express passenger trains. Test runs were operated on the Great Western mainline between 1973 and 1975, with the experimental train being sent to the NRM at York for preservation in 1976.

This locomotive is preserved at the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway, working alongside sister Hunslet Beatrice and where a major overhaul is in progress.

Model of Hawksworth design GWR 15xx class 0-6-0PT pannier tank locomotive 1505 finished in lined black livery with early British Railways lion over wheel emblems and red back number plates. Old Oak Common shed painted a number of their pannier tanks in this very smart looking lined black livery as after taking in empty trains the engine would be waiting at the buffer stops in Paddington station as the passengers boarded.

This one of the liveries carried by 1501 since restoration for passenger service on the Severn Valley Railway, the lined black looking far more aesthetically pleasing than the plain alternative.
